Size Matters To JCPenney.com
JCPenney.com, the e-commerce portal for J. C. Penney Co. Inc., has launched Just4MePetite.com and Just4MeTall.com, Web sites featuring JCPenney apparel for petite and tall women using My Virtual Model technology. Both sites allow women to create a 3-D model, reflecting their physical proportions, face shape, hairstyle and color and skin tone.
The Plano, Texas-based company launched Just4MePlus.com last year' for plus-sized women, also with My Virtual Model. Plus-size merchandise sales online have increased more than 150%, it claims.
Site features include Mix and Match, where customers can try different tops and bottoms on a virtual model to see which combination looks best. Users can rotate and view the virtual model from the front, profile or back to see how the outfit appears on the entire figure. It also features fashion advice, suggested outfits and size information, as well as a search function to search for clothes available online according to price, size and apparel category.
