i2 names a new chief marketing officer


I2 Technologies, a provider of online supply chain management applications to web and multi-channel retailers, has named John Cummings as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. I2 Technologies Inc., a provider of online supply chain management applications to web and multi-channel retailers, has named John Cummings as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Cummings joins i2 from BearingPoint Inc., where he was managing director of the firm’s global supply chain practice.

Cummings will be responsible for defining i2’s brand, strategic marketing, lead generation and communications strategies, including evaluating expansion into new markets.

In addition to his six years at BearingPoint, Cummings spent two years as a director and manager in Oracle Corp.’s industrial sector supply chain practice. He also spent 12 years at UPS, working in a variety of positions in the company’s operations, finance, accounting and human resources divisions. He had a role in the start-up of UPS Worldwide Logistics, which is now UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
