BlueLight Makes Debut

Months in the making, Kmart Corp. has launched its revamped full-fledged online store, BlueLight.com, over the weekend. The site, named for the discount giant's old blue light specials that alerted deals to customers shopping in Kmart stores, is being promoted via Kmart's more than 2,000 U.S. stores and on shopping bags. BlueLight also has signed up more than 2 million subscribers for free Internet access, which gives the site first billing when those customers go online to shop.
