inQ names Bernard Louvat as president and CEO

InQ, an online marketing company specializing in hosted live chat technology, has named Internet technology entrepreneur Bernard Louvat as president and CEO.

“Bernard brings more than a decade of experience in technology, retail and corporate leadership to the company,” said Mark Brooks, inQ board member and partner at Dolphin Equity Partners. “We are confident that under his guidance, inQ will enter a new phase of growth and development, to become the leader in online chat marketing e-commerce solutions.”

Prior to inQ, Louvat served as CEO of Evolution Robotics Inc., a company he co-founded that provide robotics technology to retail and consumer electronics industries. In addition, Louvat is the founder and former CEO of BizBuyer.com, a provider of web-based procurement services for small businesses.

Louvat has also held senior management positions at CitySearch, a unit of InterActive Corp.; Office Depot France, where he was the founding CEO; and Disney Store France, where he was the founding country manager. He started his career as a consultant with Bain & Co.
