Online photo service Shutterfly hires a new SVP of operations
Online photo service Shutterfly Inc. has named Dwayne Black as senior vice president of operations.
He will be responsible for Shutterfly’s manufacturing, global order fulfillment and customer service operations at facilities in Hayward, CA, and Charlotte, NC.
Black joins Shutterfly with more than 20 years of operations and logistics background, with experience opening or restructuring 12 manufacturing and distribution facilities domestically and internationally. He will replace Jeannine Smith, who will remain as an advisor to the company until June.
Prior to Shutterfly, Black served as vice president of operations with Banta Corp., a provider of printing and digital imaging to publishers and direct marketers. While at Banta, he was responsible for strategic direction and the management of five manufacturing facilities.
Before joining Banta, Black was logistics manager for Porcher Ltd., a division of American Standard Inc. He has also held management positions for other consumer products companies, including Imperial Wallcoverings and Banner Foods.
