BikeSmart.com Selects Xaffire to End Website Errors

Live Web Session Capture and Playback Technology Eliminates Ongoing Web Errors and Improves Customer Satisfaction

Superior, Co. – October 19, 2004 – Xaffire Inc., an innovator in live Web session capture and playback technology, today announced that BikeSmart.com has selected its Xfire software to help the e-retailer eliminate sporadic website errors.

BikeSmart.com, the online arm of the California-based bicycle retail chain Mike’s Bikes, is using Xfire to identify and eliminate any hard to locate, recurring Web application errors that negatively impact customer relations and online sales.

"We knew the errors were hurting our business; unfortunately we could never pin-point when they would occur," said Michael Gabrys, president of BikeSmart.com. "Xfire’s live session capture and replay capability allows us to experience our site in our customers’ shoes, page by page, mouse-click by mouse-click. Since we installed Xfire, our IT staff has been able to confront site errors as they happen and remedy them quickly before they adversely affect our sales and reputation."

Xfire’s web application management solution provides site managers with "instant replay" for every user session through its capture and replay technology. Xfire users may view complete sessions either live or historically to see what site visitors did on their website and how the site responded.

"Successful online businesses like BikeSmart know that every visitor counts. Xfire allows IT and software development staff to pinpoint site errors quickly to minimize the number of visitors affected by an error," said David Jilk, CEO of Xaffire Inc. "Xfire also instantly notifies IT staff of website errors through email or pagers. Xfire’s technology ultimately improves every visitor’s website experience, whether that visitor plans to buy online or is researching an in-store purchase," he added.

A recent survey sponsored by Xaffire found that 51% of online managers learn about their sites’ Web errors from customers, and not the IT staff. The survey also revealed that 36% of the managers polled are plagued by an unknown amount of errors because IT staff are unable to reproduce customer sessions. ###
