Lynk and Systech Complete Ruby IP Certification; IP-Payment Solution Offers Speed and Savings to Petroleum Retailers

ATLANTA--Oct. 18, 2004--Systech Corporation, a leading provider of Internet Payment Gateways, and Lynk Systems, Inc., a leading electronic payment processor, today announced certification of their Internet Protocol (IP) application for the VeriFone Ruby point-of-sale (POS) payment system. The Lynk/Systech IP application provides petroleum retailers a fast, flexible and secure Internet-based platform for electronic transactions.

With the Lynk/Systech solution, merchants have the flexibility to choose between high-speed Internet with SSL security or private IP connections through satellite or frame relay. Each architecture benefits merchants with faster transactions and recurring cost savings. Other in-store payment devices such as ATMs and stand-alone POS terminals can be connected to the Lynk/Systech solution.

"Ruby IP compatibility is a key strategy to bring incremental savings and performance to petroleum retailers," said Ken Paull, Lynk`s Senior Vice President of National Sales. "This solution allows petroleum retailers to reap the recurring financial benefits of IP processing with no major capital expenditures and no changes to in-store operator interfaces." The solution was first made available to Lynk customers in September 2004 and is now an option for all petroleum retailers using VeriFone POS systems.

"The VeriFone installed base in retail petroleum is well-known and well-understood," said John Stafford, Systech`s Director of Payment Systems. "Systech is very excited to be a part of another winning payment systems combination. Lynk`s turnkey solution of simplicity, compatibility and value is already receiving applause from a merchant base hungry for cost-savings."
