Women’s apparel and accessories retailer Coldwater Creek Inc. expects Internet sales to reach about $250 million this year, the company reported today.
In an outlook report for the year, Coldwater Creek said it expects companywide sales of $1.24 billion to $1.27 billion, of which 20% will come from the online channel. About $125 million will come from catalogs and the balance—about $870 million—from stores.
Coldwater Creek has not reported final numbers for 2006 yet, but in 2005, it had web sales of $200 million.
Coldwater Creek operates 239 stores. It plans to add 65 stores this year.
Coldwater Creek, No. 53 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, plans to beef up its catalog distribution this year, expecting to mail 129 million catalogs compared to 119 million last year. Stores will be a bigger focus of the catalog, with 29 million promoting store traffic vs. 20 million last year.
