Transaction performance remains steady in April
The April Gomez performance index for the Top 25 web merchants finds little change at the top positions for both response time and availability categories. The benchmarked average for response time for all e-retail transactions was 14.59 seconds, according to Gomez.
Based on results for a multi-page checkout transaction, LLBean.com was the top merchant with an availability average of 99.87%, followed by OfficeDepot.com at 99.86% and CircuitCity.com at 99.79%.
The performance index includes a rating for response time and availability and consistency ratings.
Gomez Inc. reports that the web’s top 25 retailers had an availability rating of 98.35% in April.
