Benchmark Brands hires a new EVP of merchandising

Benchmark Brands Inc., which operates FootSmart.com, has hired Lisa A. Rosenbaum as executive vice president of merchandising, creative and product development. She joins Benchmark Brands from Crosstown Traders, a $450 million direct mail marketer of ladies apparel, food and gifts. Rosenbaum was president of Bedford Fair Apparel, a division of Crosstown Trader’s. She was also a member of Crosstown’s executive committee.

At Benchmark Rosenbaum will lead the merchandising department and direct the development of strategic merchandising plans for each product category through execution of buying, assortment planning, vendor-management, and margin management programs, the company says.

She will also oversee merchandise performance analysis for the FootSmart catalog, as well as directing product resourcing, new product development, and the merchandising turn-in process. In addition, Rosenbaum will work closely with the Internet marketing and e-retailing operation to provide input to online merchandising, product assortment, and product presentation to help increase online sales, the company says.
