Online spending rises 29% for week ended April 17
Online consumer spending for the week ended April 17 rose 29% to $1.46 billion from $1.13 billion in the comparable week last year, comScore Networks reports.
By comparison, total retail sales rose 7.5% for the week ended April 16, according to ShopperTrak RCT Corp.’s National Retail Sales Estimate.
Online travel sales rose 24% for the week ended April 17, to $1.09 billion from $876 million a year ago, comScore reports.
