2006 sales hit a high note at Musicnotes.com
2006 sales at Musicnotes Inc., an online retailer of downloadable sheet music, increased 45% to more than $5.5 million, the company reports. Musicnotes sold almost 850,000 downloads in 2006 and added 250,000 new customers.
Year-to-date sales are up almost 50% over a year ago, with over 125,000 downloads sold through mid-February.
Musicnotes also posted its first full year operating profit in 2006. “It was a real milestone for us to record an operating profit last year,” said Tim Reiland, Musicnotes Chairman and CFO. “Musicnotes is in solid financial shape and well-positioned to pursue numerous growth opportunities in 2007 and beyond.”
Musicnotes, No. 487 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, offers a catalog of nearly 60,000 digital sheet music titles.
