Golfsmith.com becomes the pro shop at ESPN.com
ESPN.com, a sports content site that averages more than 18 million monthly unique visitors, has named Golfsmith.com, the online store of Golfsmith International Holdings Inc., its official golf and tennis pro shop. The agreement sets up the first golf and tennis equipment, apparel and accessories store for ESPN.com.
Each ESPN.com golf and tennis page features promotions for and links to Golfsmith.com, where ESPN.com visitors can shop for more than 30,000 products and services from top golf and tennis brands. Under the agreement, Golfsmith.com provides marketing, customer service and product distribution.
“Through ESPN.com we gain tremendous exposure for our brand and the ability to reach the large audience of avid golfers and tennis players,” says Jim Thompson, president and CEO of Golfsmith.
Specialty retailer Golfsmith International Holdings is No. 211 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
