Macromedia teams up with eBay to offer customized version of Macromedia Contribute for eBay sellers
Macromedia MAX 2004 - New Orleans- November 1, 2004 - Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) today announced a customized version of Macromedia„¥ Contribute„§ 3 that simplifies online store creation and customization for eBay Store sellers. Contribute is a visual desktop application that empowers non-technical users to easily create and update online content. This special version of Contribute provides eBay Store sellers with a powerful way to create and customize their eBay Store without requiring technical knowledge. The solution is expected to be available by mid-November. eBay sellers can sign up to be notified when the product is available at http://www.macromedia.com/go/ebay/.

eBay Store sellers will be able to create and manage their store from within the Contribute application. By offering an intuitive visual editing environment that does not require any programming skills, Contribute allows non-technical users to create a rich online store design with no learning curve. The software includes easy-to-follow, step-by-step wizards, so any eBay user can quickly design and publish a professional store featuring logos, images, descriptions, product categories, product showcases, and product search.
To accelerate eBay Store creation, this version of Contribute will ship with more than 800 professionally designed templates for common eBay Store pages. Contribute users can customize these templates or create their own from scratch and then publish them to their eBay Store with one mouse click. Contribute translates the store design into standards-based code that renders consistently across all popular platforms and browsers. PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
This special Windows only version of Contribute 3 for eBay will be available to U.S. eBay Store sellers for $99. The product is expected to ship in mid-November and will be available from the Macromedia Online Store.
