Saks promotes its top e-commerce executive

Saks Inc., which operates Saks Direct and Saks Fifth Avenue, is promoting its top e-commerce officer.

The retailer, No. 54 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, is promoting Denise Incandela to group senior vice president and president of Saks Direct. She formerly was senior vice president of Saks Direct.

As the senior executive in charge of e-commerce, Incandela oversees all online merchandising and marketing, information technology, operations, web site development, creative development, a 200-employee fulfillment center and a 100-employee customer service center.

Incandela joined Saks, which grew its web sales by 40% in 2006, in 1999 from McKinsey & Co. At McKinsey she was in charge of the retail practice. Incandela is also a member of the Shop.org board of directors.
