Netflix announces operations management change

Online DVD rental company Netflix Inc. has named Andy Rendich as interim head of operations, following the decision by COO Bill Henderson to relinquish the post and become a strategic advisor to the company. Rendich is Netflix’s vice president of IT development. The company says Henderson is expected to serve as a consultant to Netflix for at two years.

"Bill`s unprecedented operational expertise as former Postmaster General of the United States has contributed to Netflix`s tremendous gains in automation and efficiency," said Netflix founder, chairman and CEO Reed Hastings, who is speaking at Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, June 4-7 in San Jose, as Keynote Speaker on June 6. "We look forward to Bill`s continued participation in the company`s growth."

Netflix is No. 21 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
