SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (November 10, 2004) – The Go Daddy Group, Inc., parent company of No. 1
domain name registrar GoDaddy.com, announced today that customers now have the option of
purchasing the products and services of Go Daddy’s complete Web development catalog using
PayPal’s global online payment service.
Go Daddy’s decision to become a PayPal merchant augments the Company’s current secure credit
card and online check payment options with PayPal’s unique “online wallet” flexibility. The PayPal
option provides Go Daddy customers the ability to pay through the one-stop PayPal system which
incorporates credit cards, bank accounts or a stored PayPal account balance. The addition of PayPal
also enables Go Daddy to accept five different currencies—a benefit for Go Daddy’s increasingly
global customer base.
“PayPal offers customers worldwide a safe payment solution through an existing financial
infrastructure, an attribute that is important to Go Daddy,” said Bob Parsons, president and founder of
The Go Daddy Group. “We are excited to offer this payment advantage to our worldwide customer
base and expect incremental growth in sales due to the wide acceptance and trust PayPal users have
in their system.”
Go Daddy also has included PayPal in its e-commerce storefront building product, providing Go
Daddy customers the ability to offer the PayPal payment option on their Web sites.
“Go Daddy and PayPal are both dedicated to helping businesses move online quickly, easily and
securely,” said Stephanie Tilenius, vice president of merchant services for PayPal. “We’re happy to
work with Go Daddy to provide a convenient payment option and expedite the whole process of
getting up and running on the Internet.”
