Buy.com Inc. is embarking farther down its multi-channel path. Starting with the January issue, it is taking its BuyMagazine combined magazine and catalog monthly from quarterly.
"We moved to a monthly format based on overwhelmingly positive customer and advertiser feedback, and a desire to provide our audience with more timely products and deals," said Stewart Duncan, president and publisher of BuyMagazine. "The new celebrity covers and feature articles add a dynamic entertainment element to the publication and broaden its appeal."
The January cover features Matt Damon and includes an exclusive interview regarding the DVD release of The Bourne Identity. Buy says customer feedback from the magazine has been positive, with some customers saying the magasine helped them make better decisions about products. BuyMagazine advertisers include Visa, Cingular Wireless, Hewlett-Packard, NEC/Mitsubishi, Canon, Linksys and 3Com. The magazine’s primary audience is 18- to 49-year-olds with household income over $75,000.
