ServiceMagic.com breaks into Top 10 home & garden sites

ServiceMagic’s web site, which links up consumers and home improvement contractors, came on strong in January, with unique visitors to the site growing 231% from a year earlier, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. A year ago, ServiceMagic did not appear in the Top 10 home & garden sites as measured by Nielsen/NetRatings. In January, ServiceMagic ranked No. 7.

The Top 10, with unique visitors (which counts only once each shopper who came to a site, no matter how many time that shopper visited), in millions in January 2007 and January 2006 and year-over-year growth rate were:
