Sterling Commerce names Bob Irwin president/CEO
Sterling Commerce, a provider of web-enabled supply chain execution and other types of business operations software, has named Bob Irwin president and CEO.
Irwin had served as acting president and CEO since the death late last year of CEO Samuel Starr. Irwin joined Sterling Commerce in 2002, and had served as senior vice president, America’s sales, before succeeding Starr.
Prior to Sterling Commerce, Irwin served as an information technology expert at IBM Corp. Following IBM, he launched three technology consulting practices.
Sterling Commerce is a subsidiary of AT&T Inc.
