ShoppersChoice.com expects 125% sales growth
ShoppersChoice.com LLC, which operates BBQGuys.com and ShoppersChoice.com, grew web sales by 39% in 2006 to $8.9 million from $6.4 million in 2005.
But the online retailer, No. 446 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, expects to grow corporate e-commerce sales substantially in 2007. “Our growth was slower last year at 39% because we decided to work on the back end, but this year we have pulled the chocks and right now we are on a 125% growth pattern for the year,” says CEO Mike Hackley.
In 2007, ShoppersChoice already has rolled out a new web site and microsite – UltimatePatio.com and ShoppersChoiceAuto.com. The automotive site will be released later this year and will have approximately 33 million auto parts and accessories, Hackley says. “We have been working on this for about a year now," he says.
Also in the works is the development and implementation of a new internal web analytics package. “These days we are mostly working on our back end so that we can give the customer a better experience and to give the customer service reps a better back-end platform to serve the customer,” Hackley says.
