Assurz names payment industry vet as VP, business development
Assurz.com, a company that provides satisfaction guarantees to online shoppers, has hired Gregg Gumbinger as vice president of business development. Gumbinger will be responsible for establishing relationships with online merchants, credit card acquirers and indepenednet sales organizations who recruit merchants into the credit card system.
Gumbinger joins Assurz from online payment processor Authorize.Net, where he was vice president of business development for the channel sales group. He previously worked for First Data Merchant Services as director of strategic marketing in the e-commerce division. He has also held marketing and business development positions at Visa USA, MCI, ClearCommerce, HomeAccount and Pay By Touch.

The Assurz guarantee services enables shoppers to evaluate their purchases for 90 days and, if dissatisfied, receive full reimbursement of their purchase as well as prepaid return shipping directly from Assurz.
