Stride Rite consolidates its e-commerce trading partner network
The Stride Rite Corp. is moving all its trading community data to QRS Corp. technology, the company announced today. Stride Rite will use QRS Exchange and QRS Catalogue as its preferred solution to provide a trading network for the majority of its retail partners.
Stride Rite had used three separate commercial catalogues for maintaining and communicating product information to its trading partners. Each catalogue had different product data requirements and billing structures. Stride Rite says that by consolidating on QRS Catalogue and QRS Exchange, it will reduce fees and avoid duplication of information.
"Consolidating our e-commerce software and services and using QRS as our main solution have benefited both Stride Rite and our retail partners," said Yusef Akyuz, CIO of Stride Rite. "With QRS we have reduced order errors and cycle times, which translates to reduced costs and better service for our customers."
QRS Catalogue allows manufacturers and suppliers to synchronize product information on more than 90 million items with retailers in North America. QRS says the QRS Catalogue enables Stride Rite to inform retailers of which products are available to purchase and, through data synchronization and standardization, ensures that the right item gets ordered at the expected price and quantity.
Stride Rite manufactures children`s shoes under the Stride Rite brand and manufactures children and adult shoes under the Keds, Sperry Top-Sider, Tommy Hilfiger, Grasshoppers, Munchkin, and Street Hot brands.
