MarketLive releases an open architecture version of its e-commerce platform

MarketLive Inc., provider of e-commerce technology and services for retailers, has released MarketLive 5, featuring open architecture as well as a range of standard components. “MarketLive 5 introduces innovative technology that allows retailers to rapidly deploy new product releases and facilitate the preservation of any customizations while upgrading to the new release,” the company says. MarketLive 5 also incorporates the ability to sell internationally.

MarketLive 5 also includes a software developers kit so customers, system integrators and third-party software vendors can integrate with and develop extensions to the MarketLive platform.

"MarketLive 5 radically alters expectations for the e-commerce platform, giving developers and web marketers rich out-of-the-box functionality, as well as incredible configurability and upgradeability—without the high price tag," said Ken Burke, MarketLive founder and CEO. "The entire solution is built around our Intelligent Selling best-practices, which enables each of our customers` sites to be distinctive. For the first time, we are giving marketing professionals and software developers alike the tools they need to intuitively build, integrate, fine-tune, upgrade and share to make their site unique and compelling."

More than 25 companies including Baker`s Shoes, Sportif, Peruvian Connection, Sur la Table, Park Seed and Learning Resources have selected MarketLive 5.
