Marketworks Launches New Selling Solution for eBay’s Business Equipment Sellers
PerfectAD offers business equipment sellers ability to more quickly and easily list on eBay
ATLANTA (February 24, 2006) – Marketworks, a multi-channel e-commerce solution provider, today announced the launch of PerfectAD, a listing solution targeted specifically to eBay’s business equipment sellers. Marketworks, a member of the eBay Developers Program and an eBay Certified Solution Provider, developed PerfectAD to help large equipment sellers efficiently create comprehensive eBay listings to quickly sell bulky, high-priced items.
“As a trusted eBay developer, Marketworks was able to work closely with eBay to help identify areas of improvement for the buying and selling of business equipment,” said Ken Powell, Chief Executive Officer of Marketworks. “As a result, Marketworks developed PerfectAD, an easy-to-use listing solution that helps business equipment sellers create compelling and informative ads. By giving business equipment sellers the resources needed to better address potential buyers’ interests, we anticipate PerfectAD will help sellers bring more buyer traffic and additional bidding to their listings,” added Powell.
Barry Tutin, General Manager of MJ equipment agrees. “We’ve used eBay in the past to sell our pre-owned construction equipment,” stated Tutin. “With Marketworks’ PerfectAD it simplifies the process. It makes our ads more complete and professional since it prompts us for the right attribute by equipment type. We used PerfectAD last week and had a bid within 30 minutes of listing the asset,” added Tutin.
PerfectAD simplifies selling large industrial equipment online by automatically prompting a seller for all of the relevant information a prospective equipment buyer needs to make a bid or purchase on eBay. It provides key attribute fields based on the class of product being sold with pre-populated drop-down menus so that sellers can choose the correct attribute for their equipment. For example, if a customer is selling a backhoe, PerfectAD will specifically prompt the seller to select the correct bucket size, digging depth, model number and other key attributes buyers are seeking. PerfectAD accommodates up to 25 images and has links to “best-practice” guides that educate sellers about creating great eBay listings. Finally, PerfectAD suggests an ideal title for the listing based on the attributes the seller has selected, saving the seller time and making their listing more appealing to prospective buyers.
“Marketworks has developed a simple, convenient solution that will help equipment sellers more effectively represent their equipment for sale in order to attract more buyers,” said Ben Hanna, Senior Manager, Business & Industrial category for eBay. “Marketworks has been a valuable solution provider for the eBay Community and we anticipate that PerfectAD will be a welcome addition for business equipment sellers.”
For businesses that are looking for a turn-key solution, Marketworks also offers a “managed e-commerce” service for businesses that do not have the time or resources to regularly list larger volumes of product, manage customer inquiries, and process orders. A seller can simply send Marketworks a file and associated images of their inventory and Marketworks will manage the sales process from start to finish.
