Haggar Clothing Co. Selects New Generation Computing`s Web-Based
Supply-Chain
Management Software for End-to-End Visibility of the Production Process
MIAMI, April 12, 2002 – New Generation Computing Inc. today announced that
Haggar Clothing Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Haggar Corp.,
has selected New Generation`s Web-based supply-chain-management software, e-
SPS, to better collaborate with vendors around the world.
Haggar will install e-SPS at its headquarters in Dallas to obtain end-to-end
visibility of its global apparel production, streamline communications and
monitor garment shipments from vendors` factories to its distribution
centers.
The software will be accessible to the company`s global partners and
contractors via the Internet.
"We evaluated several software packages and selected New Generation`s e-SPS
because it is Web-based and easy to use,” said David Roy, Haggar`s executive
vice president of operations. “The e-SPS software package best meets our
criteria for enhancing supply-chain-visibility.”
David Specht, Haggar`s senior vice president and CIO, added: “New Generation
Computing stays ahead of business issues and technology trends as they
relate
to the apparel industry, and we look forward to developing a long-term
relationship to continually address our software needs.”
