DisneyShopping.com now offers a way to use cash for web purchases

DisneyShopping.com has joined the Coinstar Inc. network which provides a way for consumers to convert cash to online currency. Consumers can bring coins and currency to a Coinstar machine in one of 7,000 retail locations and choose a certificate good for purchases at DisneyShopping.com.

Consumers can also choose certificates good at Amazon.com, Borders, Hollywood Video, iTunes, Linens `n` Things, Pier 1 Imports, Starbucks, Virgin Digital, Eddie Bauer and Circuit City.

"This new offering also gives parents an opportunity to show kids the value of the change in their piggy banks by turning it into something from DisneyShopping.com that will truly delight their child," says Alex Camara, senior vice president and general manager of worldwide coin for Coinstar.

Coinstar does not charge a fee for converting coins to certificates, although it does for converting coins to currency.

Disney is No. 55 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
