High broadband response time faster in February
Dell in February provided the fastest response time for customers accessing the site using a high broadband connection, says Gomez Inc.
At 2.81 seconds Dell was followed by Zappos (2.91 seconds), J.C. Penney (3.99 seconds) and Foot Locker (4.00 seconds).
Using a dial-up connection, Zappos provided the fastest site response time at 42.71 seconds.
In February, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retail site in 5.91 seconds, compared with 16.72 seconds for a low broadband connection and 59.70 seconds for dial-up.
