Direct selling leads at four multi-channel retailers


Four multi-channel retailers who reported sales today and break out the direct channel--although not the web by itself--reported that direct sales outpaces total sales:

Restoration Hardware Inc.: Full year sales up 9% to $398.6 million; Internet/catalog sales up 33%. Q4: Sales up 6% to $153.4 million; Internet/catalog sales up 26%.

Urban Outfitters Inc.: Full-year: Total sales up 21% to $423 million, direct-to-consumer sales up 29%; Q4: Sales up 13% to $117.8 million; direct-to-consumer sales up 22%.

Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc.: Full year: Total sales increased 15.4% to $243.4 million; Internet/catalog sales up 22.9%; Q4: Total sales increased 15.8% to $77.9 million; Internet/catalog sales: up 20.2%.

Neiman Marcus Group Inc.: Q2 of fiscal year: Total sales up 3.4% to $939 million; Neiman Marcus Direct: Sales up 11.7%.
