Gateway names new senior level executives

Gateway Inc. named new senior level executives recently. This week it announced that it has appointed William Evans, a former executive with Blue Martini Software Inc., as senior vice president of international.

Evans will be responsible for overseeing Gateway`s sales, marketing and operations as it expands outside the U.S. market. He most recently was Blue Martini’s vice president and managing director for Asia-Pacific, where he established offices in Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo and developed partnerships with major distributors in the region.

Last month, Gateway hired Cathy Stauffer, a former Good Guys executive, as senior vice president of marketing. She will oversee all retail, consumer, professional and brand marketing functions. Stauffer spent 27 years at Good Guys, most recently as president of Good Guys Retail, which oversaw the Good Guys web site. She also held positions as vice president of marketing, vice president of merchandising and executive vice president.
