Online spending up 23% for week ending May 23
Online retail spending increased 23% to $1.08 billion for the week ending May 23 from $879 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports.
By contrast, total retail spending for the week ending May 22 fell 5.9% from the corresponding week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate.
Online travel spending for the week ending May 23 increased 9% to $978 million from $895 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore reports.
