Auction site uBid.com appoints new board members

uBid.com Holdings Inc., the company behind auction site uBid.com, has appointed to its board of directors two senior executives of venture capital firm Petters Group Worldwide, Mary Jeffries and David Baer, uBid reports.

Jeffries is president and chief operating officer of Petters Group; Baer is the firm’s chief legal officer. They have replaced Paul Traub and former uBid chairman Stuart Romenesko, uBid says. Last month, uBid announced that Steven Sjoblad had succeeded Romenesko as chairman. Romenesko is also CEO of Captira Analytical, provider of software, data and analytics to the criminal justice market. He has also served as the principal and owner of his own corporate strategy and marketing consulting business and previously ran the Global Consumer Services business unit for Fair Isaac Corp., an $830 million analytics company.
