Charming Shoppes Inc. has hired Lori Twomey, formerly with Eddie Bauer, as president of Crosstown Traders, an online and catalog apparel and gift retailer that Charming Shoppes acquired in 2005. She will report to Joseph M. Baron, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Charming Shoppes.
Twomey joined Eddie Bauer in 1991. From 2000 until she joined Charming Shoppes, she was divisional vice president, general merchandise manager of direct-to-consumer sales.
Crosstown Traders titles include Old Pueblo Traders, Bedford Fair, Willow Ridge, Lew Magram, Brownstone Studio, Regalia, Intimate Appeal, Monterey Bay Clothing Company, Coward Shoe, Home, Etc. and Figi's.
Charming Shoppes, No. 159 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, operates 2,378 retail stores in 48 states under the names Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Fashion Bug Plus, Catherine’s Plus Sizes, Lane Bryant Outlet and Petite Sophisticate Outlet.
