Search engine group names board officers
The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization has announced its 2007 officers chosen by its board of directors. Gordon Hotchkiss, president and CEO of Enquiro Search Solutions, is the new chairperson.
The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization has announced its 2007 officers chosen by its board of directors:
• Gordon Hotchkiss, chairperson;
• Jeffrey Pruitt, president;
• Dave Williams, vice president;
• Dave Fall, treasurer, and
• Chris Boggs, secretary.
Officers serve a one-year term. The entire membership body of the 3-year-old organization elected its board of directors last month.
Hotchkiss, is president and CEO of Enquiro Search Solutions Inc. Pruitt is executive vice president at iCrossing. Williams is chief strategist and co-founder of 360i. Fall is vice president of product management, search technology, at DoubleClick Inc. Boggs is search strategist at Avenue A/Razorfish.
Among planned 2007 Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization initiatives are continuing to build the subscription audience for the SEMPO Institute online distance learning classes. The Institute launched its first classes earlier this year. Officers will meet in late March to map out a plan to take the institute to the next level of performance, Pruitt says.
Also on the horizon is a further look at online consumer behavior through SEMPO’s research division. “SEMPO members can benefit from greater insights into how consumers search within the Internet,” Pruitt says, “and how this behavior relates to online and offline activities.”
