Web site content management company DigitalPost Interactive names a new VP

DigitalPost Interactive, provider of web platforms for digital media sharing and social networking, has hired Brian Blackburn as vice president of marketing. He will lead customer acquisition, product strategy and corporate marketing initiatives.

Blackburn joins DigitalPost Interactive from eCost.com, an online retailer of consumer electronics and computers, where he was director of consumer business and marketing. At eCost, he led online and offline marketing campaigns and managed business development programs. Before eCost, Blackburn was director of marketing and commerce at MyPoints, a former subsidiary of United Airline Loyalty Services, where he directed consumer marketing and new business development initiatives.

He has also held management positions at Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. and consumer products consulting firm Information Resources Inc.

“By making it easy for even novice Internet users to build, maintain, and update web sites that take advantage of multimedia and other rich media content, DigitalPost Interactive is opening up the Web 2.0 experience to a whole new generation of users,” Blackburn says “I’m looking forward to contributing to the growth and success of this true innovator during this exciting time in the Web 2.0 space.”
