The Royal Canadian Mint Appoints Nurun to Implement eCommerce and Branding Initiatives
Montreal, December 15, 2004 – Nurun Inc., a firm specializing in interactive communications and technologies, announced today that it has been selected by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) to develop a number of initiatives including Website redesign, eCommerce enhancement, content architecture and development, as well as event Website design. The site will be launched in two phases. The first which was released on November 1, 2004 consists of eCommerce enhancements to capture the holiday buying season. The fully re-designed site will be launched in February 2005.
After extensive analysis of the numerous competitive bids received from some of Canada’s leading interactive communication firms, the Royal Canadian Mint has entrusted Nurun to implement a world-class online portal using the latest Microsoft technologies. By designing an engaging graphic look and feel, and providing greater flexibility in the interface, visitors to the improved site will develop a richer, more immersive relationship with the RCM brand.
This important marketing initiative will address the need to increase both corporate and product brand equities through the value proposition brought on by the online experience. Improvements to the site will entice and engage collectors, buyers of memorabilia, gift givers, investors, refinery customers and corporate visitors alike.
“Through this partnership, Nurun will help the RCM achieve a number of its business objectives including the need to better serve customers worldwide through eCommerce. In addition to offering our traditional coin products, we will also offer an ever-expanding line of unique gifts and accessories.” said David Dingwall, President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.
“We are honored that a Crown Corporation such as the Royal Canadian Mint has placed its trust in Nurun’s extensive branding capabilities and leading-edge technological approach. The strength of our teams, both creative and technical, lies in their capacity to closely work together in order to offer Web solutions that integrate interactive communication strategies and the most powerful technologies to better serve the interests of the Royal Canadian Mint” commented Jacques-Hervé Roubert, President and CEO of Nurun.
