Gator records 4 million uses in January, the company reports
Payments for online goods are made overwhelmingly by credit cards entered one number at a time. But there is a growing group of consumers who use e-wallets to automatically fill in the payment forms, e-wallet provider The Gator Corp reports.
Gator e-wallet users conducted 3.9 million payment transactions in January, Gator reports. A total of 443,003 users conducted transactions in January. They are enthusiastic shoppers, conducting an average of nine transactions.
Gator provides e-wallet and other software to consumers who agree to view Gator adds in return for the software. Gator operates as an affiliate network for the retailers in that Gator earns a commission if a customer using Gator software clicks on the ad and makes a purchase.
