GSI Commerce will develop and operate an e-commerce web site for footwear brand Rockport, GSI reported this week. Rockport is a unit of Reebok International Ltd. GSI Commerce will develop and operate the e-commerce store at Rockport.com, including technology, fulfillment and customer service. The online store will offer Rockport branded shoes for men, women and children as well as accessories including shoe care products and handbags.
GSI is a major operator of sporting goods web sites that has been making a push outside of the sports market. GSI also announced this week that it will operate the technology and customer service portion of AceHwardware.com.
GSI and Reebok signed an agreement last summer for GSI to operate Reebok.com
