Interactive Intelligence, provider of communications software for contact centers and larger organizations, has reported a 29% increase in third quarter revenue to a record $28.7 million from $22.2 million in Q3 2006. For the first nine months of the year, revenue was up 35% to $79.9 million from $59.4 million.
Net income, excluding some non-cash items, was $3.3 million in the third quarter, a 50% increase from $2.2 million a year ago. Operating income for the first nine months of the year increased 48% to $5.4 million from $3.7 million last year. Operating income included stock-based compensation expense in both years.
“We are seeing growth in all major geographies,” says founder and CEO Donald E. Brown. “During the quarter we experienced strength in large contact center sales, as well as a rise in the licensing of our foundational voice over IP products, such as our gateways and media servers. These higher revenues are driving steady increases in profitability while we continue to invest in the development of new technology.”
Indianapolis-based Interactive Intelligence provides contact center and telephony software to more than 2,500 customers worldwide, primarily mid-sized and larger enterprises.
