eBay leads in visits to apparel and beauty sites
Among the top 10 retail apparel-and-beauty web sites in number of unique visitors for the week ended June 6, eBay took the top two positions with nearly 3 million visitors combined. EBay’s Clothing, Shoes & Accessories section had 2.06 million visitors, and its Jewelry and Watches section had 926,000. Third-ranked Old Navy had 671,000 visitors, Nielsen/NetRatings reports.
Ranked fourth was VictoriasSecret.com, with 524,000 visitors, followed by Avon, 507,000; LLBean.com, 442,000; Gap, 372,000; May Department Stores, 323,000; Lands’ End, 303,000; and Eddie Bauer, 286,000.
Avon led in the amount of time per visit, with 19 minutes, 19 seconds, followed by Lands’ End, 14 minutes, 52 seconds; VictoriasSecret.com, 13 minutes; LLBean.com, 11 minutes, 46 seconds; Zappos.com, 8 minutes, 34 seconds; Old Navy, 7 minutes, 37 seconds; Gap, 5 minutes, 54 seconds; eBay Jewelry and Watches, 5 minutes, 46 seconds; Eddie Bauer, 5 minutes, 31 seconds; and eBay Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, 5 minutes, 17 seconds.
Among age groups, those aged 45+ accounted for the largest number visitors to apparel-and-beauty sites, at 10.2 million, followed by ages 35-49 at 8.3 million, and ages 25-34 at 5 million.
Among income groups, households with incomes of $50,000-$74,999 accounted for the largest number of visitors, at 7.6 million, followed by $25,000-$49,999, at 6.6 million, and $75,000-$99,999, at 5.2 million.
For the same week, the food-and-beverage products category led all consumer goods industry segments in the number of online advertising impressions, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance Report. The top categories by number of impressions, according to the report:
