Kenneth Cole gets a new head of multi-channel retailing
Carol Sharpe has been named senior vice president of the Consumer Direct division of Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. where she will be in charge of the Internet and catalog businesses and the company`s retail and outlet stores. Sharpe had been the president of retail at Donna Karan Inc. since 2002.
Before that, she was executive vice president of merchandising for J. Crew, Inc., where she was responsible for $800 million in annual sales generated from retail, mail-order and e-business channels. She also has been senior vice president of women`s retail and general merchandising manager of Retail Women`s and Men`s at J. Crew. She also has held positions at Jordan Marsh and Bloomingdale`s.
“Her impressive specialty retail store experience and her department store background make her an excellent fit with our organization,” said Paul Blum, president of Kenneth Cole Productions. “We look forward to working with her to take our Consumer Direct business to the next level."
