Netflix, Inc. Selects Retail Decisions for Real-time Electronic Payment Processing

HAZLET, NJ (October 15, 2002) -- Retail Decisions, an international supplier of payment card, ebusiness and fraud prevention services, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Netflix, Inc., the world`s largest online DVD rental service, to provide payment processing solutions utilizing Retail Decisions` LiveProcessor electronic payment software. LiveProcessor will process credit card and check transactions made by Netflix`s more than 742,000 customers across the USA each month.

Netflix is the easiest way to rent movies on DVD. With no due dates and no late fees, subscribers can choose movies over the Internet from Netflix`s extensive selection of more than 12,000 DVD titles. New titles are added every week, enough to keep even the biggest movie buff busy. Movies are delivered to customers by US mail in postage-paid return envelopes, and can be kept as long as they like for a flat fee of $19.95 per month.

"With our rapidly increasing transaction volumes and customer base, we required a much more robust and powerful authorization engine than our previous gateway solution," said Andy Rendich, Director of Development at Netflix. "Retail Decisions` LiveProcessor software is used by many high-volume, high-profile ebusinesses, and we are confident that this proven solution will become an integral part of our day-to-day order-taking operations."

"Retailers like Netflix, RealNetworks, Buy.com and other leading companies have, over the past few months, come to rely on Retail Decisions for the kind of reliable, scalable and secure credit card and check payment processing capabilities that the LiveProcessor engine delivers," said Carl Clump, CEO of Retail Decisions. "We are pleased to add Netflix to our expanding list of customers, and we look forward to serving Netflixs mission-critical electronic payment processing needs as their business expands."

With over 100 installations of LiveProcessor in the US, LiveProcessor customers complete an estimated 13 million card-not-present transactions in 23 currencies on a monthly basis.

LiveProcessor combines online, call center, retail and IVR transactions into a single system, and integrates real-time authorization, batch processing and settlement functionality with existing order processing, subscription and electronic commerce systems. LiveProcessor is the only payment processing application in the world to support Visa CVV2 and Amex CID security codes, procurement level 2 and 3 cards, electronic check processing, foreign currency settlement support and multiple bank interfaces in a single product. Clients of the company include Hotwire, Nextel Communications, Research In Motion, ShopNBC, Tupperware and Unicity.
