Former iVillage/NBC exec heads business development at Glam Media
Glam Media, which operates the fashion and lifestyles portal and retail affiliate site Glam.com, has appointed former iVillage/NBC executive Jennifer Salant to lead business development, Glam said today.
Salant, who served as vice president of operations and strategic partnerships at iVillage/NBC, will drive business development for all of Glam Media’s operations. In addition to Glam.com, which features products and links to more the 50 online retailers ranging from Drugstore.com and BlueNile.com to J.C. Penney Co. Inc.’s JCP.com, Glam Media also operates the Glam Publishers Network of more than 250 web sites, blogs and print magazines.
At iVillage/NBC, Salant oversaw digital commerce, secondoary advertising revenue and licensing agreements. Prior to iVillage/NBC, Salant was a business analyst for Mitchell Madison Group, a global management consulting firm.
