Former Manugistics CEO Joe Cowan takes top job at Interwoven

Interwoven Inc., a provider of web content management technology, has appointed Joseph L. Cowen as CEO and a member of its board of directors. Cowan is former CEO of Manugistics Group Inc., a provider of supply chain management systems.

Cowan succeeds in the top executive position Max Carnecchia, who has led Interwoven over the past year and will remain in the position of president.

“We expect Joe`s experience and expertise will accelerate the success Interwoven is enjoying,” says Tom Thomas, chair of the CEO search committee.

Prior to Manugistics, Cowan served as president and CEO of EXE Technologies.
