In October Dell.com recorded a response time of 0.66 seconds to lead all Top 50 retailers, according to Gomez Inc.

Dell was followed by Zappos.com at 0.82 seconds, MusiciansFriend.com at 0.90 seconds, SonyStyle.com at 1.06 seconds, VictoriasSecret.com at 1.08 seconds, Overstock.com and HomeDepot.com at 1.15 seconds, Scholastic.com at 1.19 seconds, LLBean.com at 1.20 seconds and CircuitCity.com 1.22 seconds.

Overall the 50 largest retail web sites had an average backbone response time of 2.10 seconds.
