Grady Lang Joins Island Pacific to Streamline Professional Services

Irvine, California, USA – January 4, 2005 – Island Pacific (AMEX:IPI) announced today that Grady Lang has joined Island Pacific as Vice President of Professional Services. Mr. Lang is a proven results-oriented professional with significant experience in the retail industry.

"We have increased our implementation and service practice as a result of recent sales of IPMS, Retail Pro and synaro to new users and we have a need to integrate the service organizations of the Retail Pro and synaro acquisitions. Grady will provide the leadership to accomplish these objectives"

Mr. Lang has over twenty years experience in the development and implementation of retail systems. Most recently, Mr. Lang has been engaged at a major entertainment company in a consulting relationship, where he planned and managed the development of a major corporate-wide ERP solution. He is also a co-founder of Evant, a developer of a merchandise management and planning system. As Evant`s Vice President of Client Services, he was responsible for varying aspects of business development, technical infrastructure, application support and client relationship management. Prior to that, Mr. Lang held executive positions with a major consulting firm and a prominent retailer.
