Full-year web revenue at 1-800-Flowers is expected to grow 15%
1-800-Flowers.com reported today that it expects revenue in its just completed fiscal year fourth quarter to reach $161 million, up 4% from last year’s Q4 revenue of $154.8 million. Its fourth quarter ended Sunday. Total FY 2004 revenue will be up about 7% to $603 million, with online revenue up 15% to $305 million.
Telephone-based sales declined in Q4 as customers migrated to the web. The resulting reduction in expenses as customers choose the self-service online function will offset the impact on gross margin that lower-than-expected sales in the company’s home and garden category will create.
1-800-Flowers.com, No. 31 in the Internet Retailer Top 300 Guide to online retailers, expects to release detailed Q4 and full-year numbers August 5.
