Mercado names a vice president of sales

Mercado Software Inc., a provider of search technology for e-commerce and enterprise databases has named William A. Martin as vice president of sales.

Most recently, Martin was vice president of sales for the Americas for Workshare Technology Inc., a document content collaboration software provider. He previously was vice president of sales for OnePage, a data integration software and web services tools provider. He also has held management positions at enterprise information management software provider Hummingbird Ltd., Fulcrum Technologies Corp. and Excalibur Technologies.
