No more expiration dates on GiftCertificates.com `s SuperCertificate

GiftCertificates.com announced today that it will remove expiration dates from its flagship SuperCertificate product beginning tomorrow. The company says the move was in response to feedback from customers in support for the elimination of expiration dates from gift certificates.

"The removal of expiration dates from gift certificates will be a growing trend and we are proud to help lead the industry in this direction,” says Michael Ahern, CEO of GiftCertificates.com. “As gift cards and gift certificates continue to gain in popularity, both among purchasers and recipients, the removal of expiration dates adds flexibility and freedom so recipients can get the gift they really want."

The SuperCertificate is GiftCertificates.com`s most popular product, and is redeemable online or by phone for certificates from any of the company`s hundreds of national and local merchants.

The elimination of expiration dates from the SuperCertificate product will not be retroactive to certificates purchased before July 1, 2004. In addition, the action will not affect individual merchants’ gift certificates sold at GiftCertificates.com, the company says. Merchants will continue to set their own expiration policies.
