PFSweb Announces Strategic Alliance With eBay

Cooperative Technology Permits PFSweb Clients to Enhance B2C Channel Strategies

PLANO, Texas, Oct 14, 2002 -- PFSweb, Inc. (Nasdaq/SmallCap:PFSW), a leading provider of business process outsourcing solutions, announced today an alliance with eBay, the world`s online marketplace, which will permit PFSweb clients to utilize eBay as a channel to distribute their products.

`eBay has broadened its offering to include a Business-to-Consumer channel,` explained Steven S. Graham, Senior Partner and Chief Technology Officer of PFSweb. `Subsequently, PFSweb developed technology within its Entente Suite(SM) of software solutions that tightly integrates our e-commerce and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions with eBay`s web applications and systems.

`This integration with eBay will enable many of our brand name clients to gain access to eBay`s community of more than 50 million registered users worldwide who now utilize the most popular shopping site on the Internet,`Graham emphasized.

`PFSweb began working with eBay in February and already has one of our consumer electronics clients using the PFSweb-eBay connection to enhance its channel strategy,`he said. `While this alliance is not specific to PFSweb, it certainly improves the array of integrated business infrastructure solutions and fulfillment services that we develop and deploy for Fortune 1000, Global 2000 and brand name companies in North America and Europe.`

`In 2001, the eBay community transacted more than $9.3 billion in annualized gross merchandise sales (value of goods traded on the eBay site),`Graham noted. `PFSweb warehouses, manages and fulfills an impressive $1 billion annually in client merchandise and transactions, including billing and collection services, as well as integrated reverse logistics programs. It is obvious that this alliance should prove to be a mutually beneficial and dynamic resource for PFSweb clients.`

PFSweb provides a comprehensive suite of solutions, including order management, e-marketplace logistics, managed hosting, Web creative development and enabled customer contact systems and postponed manufacturing, to such clients as Avaya Communication, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, IBM, Kosform Design (Overtoom International/Groupe Manutan), Lancome, Mobility Electronics, NokiaUSA.com, Pharmacia&Upjohn, RCA.com, Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Mint and Xerox.
